Tire rotations should be performed frequently for accomplishing even tread wear. But not all tire rotations can be completed the same. Most tires require front to back rotation only. However, there are some tires that are known as “non-directional” and “directional tires” which means they must be rotated in a specific sequence. This is extremely important, not only for proper wear, but also for them to function properly.

Those types of tires will be required to be rotated in either a cross pattern; a forward cross pattern or side to side pattern.
